Wembley Stadium

Wembley's 90,000 capacity makes it the second largest stadium in Europe and the largest (and tallest) in the world with every seat being under cover. It is one of the most expensive stadiums to ever have been built, costing close to £800million.

Immediately following its opening, it was often referred to as the "new Wembley Stadium" to distinguish it from the original stadium. The ground had been used for football matches since the 1880's.

From 2005 through to project completion, VGI Security Solutions were assigned to provide commissioning management and commissioning engineers for the CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems. This included the bespoke access control system, across a network system of 98 site servers, consisting of in excess of 1,950 access control doors, turnstile gates and passenger lifts.
